The Polish Decrees were the special racist legislation imposed on forced labourers from Poland. From 8 March 1940, the Polish Decrees forbade Poles from leaving their homes, using public transport and visiting cultural institutions such as cinemas, theatres, restaurants and churches. They were also forced to wear badges with the letter “P” on their clothing.
